After initially renovating, and flipping half-a-dozen of my own properties and discovering how difficult the mortgage process was (especially for freelancers and people like myself in the entertainment industry), I decided to get the proper licenses and form a mortgage brokerage company.
Many clients already know me as a film or TV producer. But in searching for a better way to store my hard-earned money, I turned to real estate.
R.E. isn't for everyone - lots of friction, headches, toilets, trash, tenants, and taxes. But I ended up being fairly good at it and enjoying the process. So at the time, it became my "bank."
My mantra was:
Work hard in Hollywood. Save in Real Estate.
I've also separately owned over 20 income properties, and have invested in over 2,500 units of all kinds of real estate (multi-family, commercial, storage units, industrial, assisted living) in over 20 states totallying $400M in value. And separately owned an Airbnb business with numerous properties across the country.
As time has passed, I've discovered a far superior way to save, so I have divested of most of my real estate portfolio. But I still have the skills, the knowledge, and love helping others get what they want.
But enough about me. Let's focus on you.
Most traditional banks don't understand the profiles of residential borrowers unless they've worked for the same company for a decade and have zero debt.
Banks have to check off the boxes. They're a volume business. So they turn down a lot of people.
I was one of those people.

I've learned how to make the process clean, simple, and fair. I deal with wholesalers to find the best rates and terms for your situation.
